At the age of eleven, Jaiswal, who was born in Suriya, Uttar Pradesh, moved to Mumbai with huge aspirations and a love for cricket. But it wasn’t an easy start for him. In order to make ends meet while chasing his dream of being a cricket player, he worked odd jobs, slept in a tent for three years, and even sold panipuri.
Jaiswal’s talent was recognized by cricket coach Jwala Singh, who later became his legal guardian and mentor. This significant turning point in his life led to his selection for the 2018 India U-19 squad, despite the challenges he faced.
The IPL team Rajasthan Royals were impressed by Jaiswal’s performances in international U-19 competitions, so they acquired him for Rs 2.4 crore during the 2020 auction. Jaiswal’s breakthrough occurred in the third test match against England when he struck a double century of 214 runs. This was crucial to India’s 434-run victory and gave them a 2-1 lead in the ongoing 5-test series.
Many hardships have accompanied Jaiswal’s path, such as having to live in a tent, a dairy shop, and sell panipuri to make ends meet. But his resolve and love for cricket remained unwavering. He bought a five-bedroom condo in Thane in 2023, fulfilling his dream of being a home owner in Mumbai.

Jaiswal had only scored 121 runs in seven innings, with a peak score of 39, before this game.
