Indian Team Reflects on T20 Final in Conversation with PM Modi

Rohit Sharma mentioned that he wanted to consume some of the pitch dirt as a memento of the time they won the championship. He remarked that it was a unique occasion that they had eagerly anticipated and had strived to attain. Rohit added that teammates Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav came up with the concept to do something special when accepting the trophy.

*Virat Kohli  informed coach Rahul Dravid he hadn’t done the team or himself justice and acknowledged he wasn’t confident during the tournament. However, Dravid informed him that a circumstance will emerge in which he would act. During the match, Kohli remarked that he wasn’t sure he would be able to bat well at first, but after hitting a few boundaries early on, he told Rohit, “What a game this is”. When wickets fell early, according to Kohli, he made the decision to “surrender to the situation” and concentrate exclusively on what was required for the team. The realization that the title victory was “bound to happen” “pushed into that zone” for him.

* Speaking about his game-winning catch in the championship, Suryakumar Yadav stated that he wasn’t thinking about taking the catch; instead, he was feeling just on saving runs. Since Axar is from Anand, the home of Amul, PM Modi joked that “Amul milk is doing its work” when he discussed a significant catch that he made.
