India vs New Zealand 1st Test: New Zealand Take 1-0 Lead, Register Historic Win Over India

A solid partnership between Rachin Ravindra and Will Young helped New Zealand to an eight-wicket win over India in the first Test of the three-match series in Bengaluru.

Chasing 107, New Zealand suffered an early setback when they lost their captain Tom Latham to a duck. But the partnership between Devon Conway (17) and Will Young (45*) brought the visitors back into the game.

Despite the loss of Conway, New Zealand were able to reach the target with ease as Rachin Ravindra (39*) provided the finishing touch.

For India, Jasprit Bumrah claimed two wickets. Earlier, Sarfaraz Khan scored 150 runs for India while Rishabh Pant scored 99 runs. This was New Zealand’s first win in Tests in India since 1988.
