Harshit Rana’s Graph soars – A name to watch in Indian cricket

Harshit Rana’s cricket career has generally been on an upward trajectory, marked by overcoming early rejections and making significant strides in international cricket.

Rana sought coaching from former India bowler Amit Bhandari after facing rejections in his youth cricket career in Delhi. Bhandari aimed to enhance Rana’s innate quick bowling ability. Former India selector Devang Gandhi praised Rana’s mental clarity and willingness to improve his fitness, which contributed to his increased bowling speed.

Rana marked his India call-up with a five-wicket haul and half-century in a Ranji Trophy match against Assam. He was named as one of three uncapped players for Australia’s Border Gavaskar Trophy.

Rana made his Test debut in Australia and appeared in T20Is as a concussion substitute. During his ODI debut against England, he was struck for 26 runs in his third over.

However, he rebounded to take three wickets and finish with 3/53 in seven overs.
